It's A Penguin Thing

Remember how I said I was working on a Narnia fic? Well, I thought that I would go ahead and share the first chapter. The catch is that I'm going for emotive descriptions, mostly because I'm good, very good, at dialogue, and I want to work on catching the little things in the room that I forget. Let me know how that turns out, please? Also, I am not English, nor have I ever been to London, and this was set back in 1949, according to C S Lewis's timeline and is not a time I am familiar with. I will strive to do my best, anyway.
