Notes: Dean gets a new pet.
Gabriel showed up two weeks after the hell hound pup, took one look at the creature and said, “Castiel?”
Dean gave Gabriel his best “angels are dicks” glare, “That’s a hell hound, but, if you want to see things, I’m sure the guys in the white coats will be happy to help you out.”
Sam privately thought their recent trip to a mental institution had not helped Dean in any way, shape or form.
“No, that’s Castiel, what did you do to him?” Gabriel replied, returning Dean’s glare with one of his own.
“We didn’t do anything,” Dean replied, “Castiel is off, doing whatever it is angels do when they find out God doesn’t care.”
“And I’m telling you, that is Castiel,” Gabriel replied, his power beginning to roll off him.
“Ok,” Sam said, he put his hand on Dean’s shoulder, “the dog is Castiel. We don’t know what happened to him, ok? He showed up about two week ago and has been following us around.” He couldn’t help it; he looked at Dean and smirked, “I guess this explains the shower.”
If looks could kill, Sam had no doubt that he would have been a smoking hole on in the carpet for that. “Castiel,” Dean said, looking at the dog.
The puppy yelped and went up on his hind feet, tail wagging excitedly.
Dean sat down on the bed, when the puppy jumped up beside him, he looked at it, “What?” Dean asked.
The puppy licked him.
“Castiel!” Dean leaped his feet rubbing his cheek, “That is so wrong.”
Sam started to laugh, but stopped when Gabriel joined in. “Ok,” Sam said, “how do we fix this?”
“I’m…not sure,” Gabriel said, he knelt to look at Castiel, “I can’t say that I’ve ever seen an angel turned into a hell hound puppy.” He tilted his head, “How did I not think of this before?”
Castiel tilted his head back and howled.
“Castiel!” Dean yelped.
“Sorry,” Gabriel said, he stood, “ok, that’s not going to work.” He looked at Dean and Sam, “take care of him, ok? I’m going to see what I can find out.”
There was a rustle of feathers and Gabriel was gone. “Great, typical, leave us with the puppy.” Dean said, he pointed at Castiel, “This doesn’t mean I’m going to let you sleep on my bed.”
